Visiting a church can be intimidating

What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go? We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church,  so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit.

Each weekend at Love City Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message.

Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled Love City Kids service.

What’s a service like?

What will happen when I visit for the first time?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

Where do my kids go?

Our Children’s Ministry is
much more than “childcare”.

We intentionally structure our children’s ministry to help children learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids.

If you are a guest,

When you arrive you will be greeted by someone from our Guest Services Team. Our team members will be happy to escort you to the appropriate room for your child, take you to the front of the line, and get checked in. Just let them know you are new. At the check-in area, you’ll be greeted by a Kids Ministry volunteer who will help you register your children. You’ll be handed a sticker with your name, your child’s name, what class your child is in, and a number that identifies your child. Should your child need you during the service, the number on your sticker will appear on the lower part of the screens (or in the small boxes above them).

Our children’s ministry is broken up into the following ages:

The Baby Place
4 months – 2 years old

Preschool Kids
3 – 5 years old

Love City Kids
6 – 10 years old

Security is important to us!
So when you drop off and pick up your child, we’ll make sure the numbers on your stickers and your child’s sticker match before admitting or dismissing them to or from class.

What Should
I Wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! No matter the season, we think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

If you’re visiting with us, we don’t expect you to give. If you consider Love City Church your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving. We value spirit-led generosity! You can give via text, giving app, online and via debit or credit card. You will receive a charitable receipt for all giving.
